While prepping for my first live set with these instruments, I got distracted by this thread of Plumbutter patch ideas ( https://llllllll.co/t/plumbutter-stra... ) and nearly fell permanently into a rabbit hole of cosmic dust, ultrasounds, and rollz. Best listened to on a warm summer night under the haze of distant wildfire smoke.
Performed live on the Buchla Music Easel and Ciat-Lonbarde Plumbutter 2. A tangle of dusty rollz and ultrasounds on the Plumbutter collaborate with the Easel's pulser and low pass gates to create layers of crunchy syncopation. These instruments are routed through the Fostex 280 mixer with the Hologram Microcosm on Aux 1 and Strymon Big Sky on Aux 2. The mixer's stereo out goes through a pair of BAE 1073s and into a UAD Apollo Twin.
