On top, the Oppo A79 flaunts a 6-inch Full HD+ display which is bright, vivid and is paired with excellent viewing angles that ensures a top-notch visual experience for its users. There is no Corning's Gorilla Glass support to ensure that the screen remains scratch-free, so one has to be extra careful while using the big-screen handset.
Connectivity options on the Oppo A79 include 4G, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, GPS, Bluetooth 4.2, dual SIM support, and a microUSB 2.0 port.

Similar to the Oppo A73, the Oppo A79 sports a bezel-less display. The smartphone features a metal unibody design with a rear-mounted fingerprint reader. It can easily be said that the Oppo A79 is the bigger brother of the Oppo A73.

The smartphone is designed to deliver a smooth and flawless performance courtesy a 2.5GHz octa-core MediaTek SoC which is coupled with 4GB RAM that supports multitasking. Users can enjoy games on the big screen without worrying about any performance issues.

For imaging, the Oppo A79 hosts an upgrade. The handset comes with two 16-megapixel shooters; one at the back and one at the front. The rear imaging piece is assisted with an LED flash to aid low-light photography which one can use the front-facing shooter for selfies and video calling via apps like Messenger, Skype, etc.
On the storage front, the smartphone is equipped with 64GB of expandable internal storage space. One can easily boost the storage on the device up to 128GB using a microSD card. Sadly, one has to use the Hybrid SIM slot for expanding the storage. The 64GB variant costs around Rs. 18990. The Oppo A79 comes in multiple colour options like Black, Gold which are also priced the same.

The Oppo A79 runs Android 7.1.1 Nougat and is backed by a non-removable Li-Po 2,990mAh battery which might disappoint few users.

Oppo A79 price in India is expected to be $300 / Rs.18990. Oppo A79 is due to be launched in December, 2017. The 64GB variant costs around Rs. 18990. The Oppo A79 comes in multiple colour options like Black, Gold which are also priced the same.
