Fanny Tang was born on the picturesque island of Nauru, a Central Pacific Island near Australia formerly known as Pleasant Island. Her multicultural upbringing and island roots deeply influence her artistic vision, which blends themes of impermanence, connection, and ecological harmony 126.

She earned a BFA in Oil Painting from the University of Calgary and later moved to Hong Kong to further her career. In 2013, she completed her MFA in the Fresco Department at the prestigious Central Academy of Fine Arts in Beijing, where she honed her skills in merging Eastern and Western artistic traditions 129.

Fanny has exhibited extensively across the globe, with solo and group exhibitions in Beijing, Taiwan, Hong Kong, the United States, and Canada.
