Inspired by the 1986 Chernobyl disaster In Absentia wrote the song 'Chernofobia' in 1993. The track was used live but never released. Digging it up from the archives the band decided to give the song a video and put in on their YouTube channel in 2021 - and considered to a create and release a brand new version.
That version is now here! The 2024 version maintains the chilling mood from the original track but it has been given a huge overhaul, adding an extra theme and bringing it into current production standards.

The Chernobyl disaster still haunts us to this day. Recently scientists discovered that the radiation levels are increasing inside the sealed off reactor. What that means nobody knows. At the same time the insane Russian invasion of Ukraine has created a new and very dangerous situation for all of Europe with the nuclear power plants in the midst of a raging battlefield! We can only hope for the best ...
