Описание: Tontos (Operita) is the third studio album by the Argentine band Billy Bond y La Pesada del Rock and Roll, released in late 1972 by Music Hall. The album, suggestively subtitled October 20, 1972 † - By Billy Bond y La Pesada del Rock, Volume 3 - Once Upon a Time, emerged as the group's reaction to the serious incidents that occurred that day at Luna Park Stadium in Buenos Aires, during which part of the venue was destroyed by attendees, leading to police intervention, the cancellation of the concert, and the arrest of Billy Bond and some members of the audience.

Background: The Luna Park Riots
On Friday, October 20, 1972, a massive rock festival was organized at Luna Park, featuring La Pesada and fellow artists: Pescado Rabioso, Litto Nebbia and his band Huinca, Aquelarre, Color Humano, and Pappo's Blues, as part of the Youth Days. The reasons why the concert descended into chaos, violence, and destruction are unclear.

The fence separating the reserved seating from the general admission area was torn down amid the enthusiasm of the 'fans.'" The fences protecting the stadium entrance were also torn down. Tito Lectoure was hit by a brick, and Billy Bond was arrested. Tear gas, shattered windows, and 25 people detained. ("La Razón," October 21, 1972)
Later, Billy Bond referred to these events in an interview:

"What happened at Luna Park is a very specific story. It was a time of repression, a time when the system was really tightening its grip. It was a very heavy situation. Rock and roll was completely marginalized, something from another world, and they treated you like a guerrilla fighter.
Tito Lectoure agreed to let them use Luna Park for money. It's like opening your house to someone for a meal: when you invite someone over or do business with someone, you already know what kind of person they are; otherwise, you wouldn't invite them.

" He invited us to do this show in a house that's a slaughterhouse because it's a place where people box, where they hit each other and bleed, they kill each other. It's a super violent place, and rock music wasn't violent in a way; it was something much more peaceful. (...) When it was time for the show, the police, who had already been notified, came in during the show and started beating the guys. It was a very tense time, a very heavy period. (...) It started peacefully, it started like, "Violence breeds violence, stop it, guys," but there came a point when things couldn't go on anymore, and the guys broke everything, and it ended up like everyone knows it did, which was a disaster. But the disaster was caused by whoever caused it, I didn't cause the disaster, the disaster happened on its own because Tito Lectoure caused it, Lectoure called the police and the police came in hitting people with batons...» (Billy Bond)
The album
Also known as "Volume 3", Tontos (Operita) was recorded immediately after the Luna Park events, in October 1972, at Phonalex Studios. The LP lasts about 32 minutes and is divided into four parts, two per side: "Acoustic I & II" (side A) and "Acoustic and Electronic I & II" (side B). However, the only proper song is "Tontos," a heavy, visceral rock track sung as a duet by Bond and bassist Alejandro Medina. This song only explodes towards the end of the album, while everything preceding it consists of disjointed noises, experimental music, improvisations, and confusing dialogues in the studio. Or, as Billy Bond explains it:

"'Tontos' is the record that shows, first and foremost, the end of La Pesada, because La Pesada died that year, at that concert, and it's written on the LP. You open the cover and what's left?" Nothing remains, the red and the end of the story, "and they lived happily ever after," and the technical specifications (...) The whole album is about how we managed to make that one piece of music, because we weren't there anymore, it's a realization, we weren't up for making a long play anymore, we were already at the edge of the stratosphere, we'd already gone to hell." (Billy Bond)
Interspersed between the different sequences of the album are fragments of "Buenos Aires Madrugada," performed by Jorge Porcel, and "Voces en la Calle," performed by Pajarito Zaguri with La Barra de Chocolate, among other incidental pre-recorded sounds, including an opera singer and unidentified muzak tracks or various sound effects. The album's atmosphere fluctuates between the extravagant, the tense, and the sarcastic, with veiled allusions to the excesses of Luna Park, Juan Domingo Perón, the Vietnam War, the Argentine clergy...No, not the armed leftist groups or "complacent music."
