This Socket A (462) ATX motherboard from around 2001 was a solid performer for AMD Athlon (Thunderbird/Palomino), Duron, and even early Athlon XP setups – supporting DDR SDRAM (up to 3GB in theory), AGP 4x, multiple PCI/ISA slots, and features like onboard Promise RAID (0/1).

In this video, I perform a full *power-on test* (checking POST, stability with a period-correct CPU like Athlon XP or Thunderbird, voltages via multimeter if shown, boot behavior) and a thorough *CMOS battery test* – measuring the CR2032 voltage (should be ~3.0-3.3V), checking for time/date loss, BIOS reset issues, or dead battery symptoms common on 20+ year old boards. If it's low/dead, I show replacement tips and clearing CMOS via jumper.

Why test these?
