Kuki Gallmann is a best selling author well known for her book titled ‘I Dreamed Of Africa’ which was later adapted into a hollywood film by the same name. Most of her writing is inspired by the environment that she resides in. She is a dedicated conservationist and so when President Uhuru Kenyatta set ablaze 105 tonnes of ivory last Saturday, he may not have known that he was fulfilling the dream of the 73 year old Kuki Gallmann who has dedicated her life to the conservation of Kenya’s wild life and more so, the elephant.
