And we should be taking extra good care of our tendons. Because tendonopathies (injuries to a tendon) need to be caught and addressed early to avoid them turning into the much more serious tendonosis (degenerated tendon).
If you do have tendonosis, though, don’t worry—there’s hope for your tendons yet! In fact, it’s possible for your tendons to heal completely though a process called “tendon remodelling”l. Here’s what that tends to look like:
