400 Students Without a Canteen – Abeyee M.A. Basic School | The Open Table Project

Описание: In the Ayensudu Circuit of the Komenda Edina Eguafo Abirem (KEEA) Municipality in Ghana’s Central Region sits Abeyee M.A. Basic School, a school with nearly 400 students who currently have no proper place to eat during break time.

When the lunch bell rings, many children are forced to sit or squat anywhere they can find space, under trees, on the ground, or along walkways to eat their meals. During the rainy season, this situation becomes even more difficult.

During our visit to the school, we saw firsthand the need for a safe and dignified space where students can sit and eat their lunch comfortably.
Together with our project partners RazorSpire and the community of Abeyee, we are launching The Open Table Project – Every Child Deserves a Seat at the Table.

The goal of this initiative is simple but powerful: to raise funds to build a proper school canteen for Abeyee M.A. Basic School. A place where students can gather, share meals, and enjoy their break time regardless of whether it is rain or sunshine. A school canteen is more than just a structure. It is a space that promotes health, dignity, and community for children during their school day.
