I have three performances of this song...it is the way Majek opened his concerts in the 1990s. This one took place at The Ritz in NYC, on June 25, 1992. I remember this night well. Jimmy Cliff was the headliner and Majek entered the dressing room beaming, because Jimmy had just blessed him and welcomed him into the reggae fraternity. Majek and his band, the Prisoners of Conscience, formed a circle and prayed together before heading to the backstage area. I felt honored to take part in that prayer.
Although the Ritz only allowed us one camera and a partial shoot, I still love the staging and look of this brilliant performance.
PS - my confession--we had no mic in the audience, that ws an error on my part, but the call and response was there and it was enthusiastic.
