I've always found drives like this to be quite impressive. 8 platters, 16 heads (1 servo & 15 data), so much stuff that could go wrong, and yet, this drive works perfectly!
This was a high end drive from Seagate, and this specific unit has been used in an apple machine in the past, as it has apple stickers on it. A whole gigabyte!
I have decided I would try to post weekly starting in 2026 so here's the first of them. Will I succeed? I don't know yet, but it's worth trying at least, right? :)
