If your inboard boat trailer didn’t come with transom straps, you can fix that in just two minutes with the Reese Retractable Transom Tie Down Straps. These are a great, affordable option if you boat in fresh water. If you boat in brackish or saltwater, the Boat Buckle G2 Stainless Steel Retractable tie-down straps are your best option to prevent rust and corrosion. Whichever option you choose, installation is as easy as it gets by using the existing mounts on the back of your trailer. Simply use the provided bolts to mount each of the transom tie down straps to the trailer. Before fully tightening, connect each strap to the transom mount on your boat and add tension. You can now fully tighten each base.
