WHO declares Ebola outbreak in central Africa a public health emergency

Описание: The World Health Organization has confirmed that the latest Ebola outbreak, of the rare Bundibugyo strain of the virus, in Congo and Uganda is a public health emergency of international concern but not a pandemic emergency. Dr. Paul Ngwakum, senior health advisor for UNICEF Africa, says in the absence of a vaccine, it is 'very critical' to have other public health measures such as early detection, rapid response and infection control.
