Donetsk governor reports massive buildup of Russian troops in Bakhmut and Siversk, around Sloviansk and Kramatorsk. Ukraine military claims to have successfully repulsed a Russian assault toward the settlements of Dovhenke and Dolyna in the Sloviansk direction. According to reports, the death toll in the Russian missile strike on Chasiv Yar in Donetsk has risen to 45.
Meanwhile, Several explosions were reported in Luhansk, a city in Donbas, controlled by pro-Russian separatists since 2014. Kyiv claims its forces destroyed a Russian military base in Zaporizhzhia Oblast, and 5 ammunition depots in Russian-occupied areas. Ukraine President Volodymyr Zelensky has said that Russian troops are feeling the force of modern artillery and fear the Ukrainian army.
