Let's have a cheerful Christmas because it hasn't been a great year. Where there's Christmas, there's hope.
I became aware of this tune from the Playford collection of English country dances through @anahatamelodeon and his fantastic melodeon rendition. Find it at • Christmas Cheer - Anahata, melodeon if you want some proper music.
This is my first attempt at writing a counter-melody. I called it "Gröllwitzer's Waltz", after what is apparently a breed of turkey.
