Today I will fly Transavia to Athens

Transavia Nederland is a budget airline that was established in 1965 and is part of the AIR FRANCE KLM Group. With 90 destinations in Europe, Africa and the Middle East a true holiday and business airline, it’s main base is Amsterdam schiphol and it has other bases at Rotterdam the Hague and eindhoven airport.

Transavia operates as a low-cost carrier with a single class of cabin. The airline offers the "Selection on Board" buy on board service offering food and drinks for purchase.

Transavia has mainly operated models of the Boeing 737family throughout its history. However, Air France-KLM announced in December 2021 that it had placed an order for up to 100 aircraft of the Airbus A320neo family. These will be replacing the entire Boeing 737 fleet of Transavia, Transavia France, and KLM.
In the meantime transavia takes delivery of the second airbus a321neo.

Enough information about transavia let’s start the review now.

My journey starts early at eindhoven airport the second largest airport in the Netherlands after schiphol amsterdam airport.

From the main entrance you reached the terminal with checkin desks, shops and cafes. At the second floor you can find the restaurant and the terrace with views over the runway and gates. Today’s gate is number 3, and im at zone 2 I booked myself an exit row seat for a fee, transavia offers also priority boarding for those who want to board the plane first.

At Eindhoven airport you have to walk to your aircraft because there are no busses or jet bridges.

Stairs are ready in the front and in the back of the plane, I took the back and I was welcomed by a smiling cabin crew.

The cabin looks old and tired the seats are bright green never saw this color before in an airplane.

Boarding completed and on time departure off to Athens.

In the seat pocket you can find an in-flight magazine, menu, sickness bag and safety card, legroom was generous and good because I was sitting on an exit row I was lucky with my seat

Let’s have a look at the menu

You will find a wide selection of hot snacks, sandwiches, soft drinks and juices in the menu, You can bring your own food and drinks on board as well.

Let’s have a look in the Bathroom, this is pretty clean and standard as swell nothing special to report about it.

The seatbelt sign turns on, we are ready for landing now, the bathrooms are locked and the cabin asked everyone to return to their seats.

I took my personal items and I went to the front door when I saw 2 different seat types I was suprized , ive never saw this before, is this common? Let me know in the comments section below.

Transavia did the job, they fly us safely to our destination you can buy food or drinks on board. Otherhand my aircraft was old, the seats are not comfortable to fly longer than 3 hours. Im looking forward to tryout their brand new a321 neo soon.
