After getting his Ph.D., Neil spoke about becoming the head of the Hayden Planetarium, which is where his love of astronomy started when he was a kid. From there, Neil detailed being twice appointed by then-president George W. Bush to serve on the Future of the United States Aerospace Industry and the “Moon, Mars, and Beyond” commission. During the conversation, Neil spoke about living near the World Trade Center during 9/11, and he detailed walking outside with his camcorder to witness the explosion from the first tower collapsing. Moving along, Neil spoke about hosting “Origins” on PBS, and he addressed his comments about the existence of God.
