When it comes to Music, are you a Better Now, or a Better Then? Like are you Beyoncé or The Beatles? Bruno Mars or Pink Floyd? Rihanna or Donna Summer?

Episode 1: Ariana Grande, Drake, Luis Fonsi, Daddy Yankee, Justin Bieber.

Are your parents right when they go on endlessly about how much better music was when they were young? Or do they love classic rock more because it was the soundtrack to their youth?

I think it has a lot to do with that.

And that people aren’t making apple to apple comparisons. The best, most loved music from the past often didn’t make it to number one on the Billboard charts.

That’s why I think we should make a direct competition between songs from different decades, based on their top position on the Billboard Hot 100.

Me and my friend Ashley go head to head comparing number one songs on Billboard today with songs from the 60s 70s and 80s.

We pull random numbers from a hat and make random comparisons with classic number ones From today with classic hits from the past. Which songs will come out on top? Is music better now or was it better then?

In today's episode, Ariana Grande takes on Mary McGregor, Drake battles the Bee Gees, and Despacito fights it out with… It’s a surprise. Who Will Win in this intergenerational smackdown ?
