After extensive maintenance work, we're starting the process of bringing C231 back into service. On Saturday 11th June, the engine was started for the first time since 2014, and all went well. There's some additional work to do on wiring and the air systems before she's a runner, but this is an excellent step.
The loco also requires attention to paintwork, and there are temporary tarpaulins on the roof to keep the rain out. Watch this space for more news!
