"The next round of talks is expected to be held in May, July and August soon after the Indian elections. And the next round of talks will be held at the higher level. And this round of talks will be very important as it will decide the direction of the peace process. In the past India and Pakistan have held such dialogue, but this time around things seem much better. The atmosphere seems much more convenient for the talks, there is a will on both sides to resolve all the outstanding issues between the two countries peacefully. President Musharraf has clearly hinted that Pakistan is willing to show some flexibility on issues like Kashmir and, his people, to talk is a long standing demand ....the whole (inaudible) in Kashmir, in accordance with the UN resolution of 1948. Similarly India has also taken a more flexible position on the issue and they have agreed to talk to separatist organisations for the first time."

"If we have good relations with India our country can develop and the same for India.
(Question: And Do you think the process will be successful and the Kashmir issue will be resolved?)
If we see history, it is not so hopeful but the process should go on because the only solution is through dialogue."
13. SOUNDBITE: (Urdu) Voxpop:
"If they are sincere in dialogue then the problem should be solved. If they are both are making fools of their nation with dialogue over issues that have been ongoing for the last 50 years, then the problem will not be solved if they are not sincere."

STORYLINE:
An Indian delegation left Pakistan on Thursday after three days of peace talks between the two nations.
Indian Foreign Secretary Shashank, who headed the delegation, told APTN that they would continue to carry the process forward.
Shashank met with his Pakistani counterpart, Foreign Secretary Riaz Khokhar and Pakistani Foreign Minister Khursheed Kasuri during his trip.
On Wednesday the two sides agreed on an aggressive roadmap for peace talks they will put their bloodstained history behind them, setting up a series of high-level meetings on flashpoint issues like Kashmir, terrorism and nuclear weapons.
The dialogue will culminate with a summit in August between the two nations'''' foreign ministers - an unimaginable breakthrough only two years after the atomic adversaries stood on the brink of war.
A series of midlevel meetings will begin directly after the Indian elections in April, including a discussion in May on nuclear confidence-building measures, and another in June to discuss ways to combat drug trafficking and smuggling.
Shashank and Pakistani Foreign Secretary Riaz Khokhar will meet again in May or June in the Indian capital to discuss the divided Himalayan region of Kashmir, the central dispute in a half-century of hatred.
