Not sure if I explained it clearly on the video but 4 levels of Burgundy wines:
Regional Wines - 55% of wines produced in Burgundy...labelled "Bourgogne"
Village Wines - 35% of wines produced in Burgundy..specific villages like Savigny Le Beaune...won't have the words Premier Cru on the label
Premier Cru or 1er Cru - about 9% of wines produced in Burgundy
Grand Cru - about 1% of wines produced in Burgundy (there are no Grand Crus in Beaune)
Founded in 1731 and owners of Chateau de Beaune, it was purchased in 1995 by Joseph Henriot (of Champagne notoriety).
Sorry I butchered the French language. I said the wine was Bouchard Pere et Fils. "Fils" is pronounced like "feas"
There is no Premier Cru region called "Beaune de Chateau". This is a cuvee produced by Bouchard Pere named after Chateau de Beaune which takes grapes from 17 Premier Cru subregions in Beaune. So very nice introduction to 1er Cru Beaune.
