Polemi Bat Cave - Cyprus Countryside, 2022

Описание: In the final part of our little adventure we walk up to the rockiest part of the gorge and discover that it is home to a colony of bats. A couple of local farm dogs join us as we explore the area, taking care not to fall into the gorge itself!

It turns out that there is in fact a natural bridge that spans the narrow gorge, so if you are up to it you could do a very bracing walk from Polemi that would first go down the route to the pond, then cut across to here before going back to Polemi on a different track. You may well find it easier to retrace your steps when you get to this point though.

This series has hopefully demonstrated just how beautiful the Paphos Countryside can be if you take time to explore it. I am not saying you should drive down every farm track you see, but why not consult a map, find an interesting looking track, park the car and go for a nice walk? Who knows what you will find. Just make sure you bring plenty of water...
