"Sometimes" is the sixth track on the album "Wake Me" and seventh track on the album "…No Sun Today". The song received local radio airplay.
Jason Barnes came up with the musical idea for "Sometimes" and Chester Bennington wrote all the lyrics. About its meaning, Chester said:
"Basically it’s just about, I don’t know. It’s kind of self explanatory. It’s just basically about just somebody realizing that, you know, sometimes things just don’t happen to work out the way you always plan them to work out. And it’s kind of hard to think straight when that happens".
The song was recorded in 1994 by Chester Bennington (R.I.P), Jason Barnes, Jonathan Krause and Sean Dowdell with production by David Knauer for "Wake Me" and between 1996 and 1997 by Chester Bennington (R.I.P), Bobby Benish (R.I.P), Mace Beyers and Sean Dowdell with production by Michael Jones for "…No Sun Today".
