Situated on the North Coast of Kwazulu Natal, just over an hours drive from Durban with direct access from the Midlands via Vryheid/Melmoth and Zululand, is the Mtunzini Forest Lodge. The chalets are nestled away in the trees and contain all the comforts of home including a private sundeck and braai area.The resort is a bird watchers paradise with the abundance of bird species, including the extremely rare Palm Nut Vulture, which is now almost synonymous with Mtunzini, and resides in the awe inspiring forest of Raphia Palms which surrounds this resort.The beaches, pristine and almost untouched, are accessible along a magnificent wooden bridge which crosses the Siyayi River and guests can enjoy the serene atmosphere whilst fishing from the shores. A network of trails has been established to offer residents the opportunity to experience the natural attractions of the area and some of the wildlife that may be encountered on the nature trails through the dune forest are bushbuck, bushpig, as well as various species of duiker.
