When shopping for your first pair of monitors or a backup pair a probing question that should be answered is how long they will last and how well built they are. Beyond that, it's a matter of technology employed and in this case the JBL series monitors are leading the charge. Although it took a minute to get used to, the LSR series monitors lend themselves to a clarity and purity that is absent from the sub $500 monitor market. Employing "Class D" amplification is a big dividend in these monitors because of it's ultra low harmonic distortion. If you are on the fence about which monitors to buy in 2018-2019 you need look no further than JBL. You won't regret it!
