The Mermaid is a gathering of screen tests I directed during the pre-production of my first feature film, Phoenix, with the actresses Faustine Boissery, Lou Kuma Kudi and Dounia Eylenbosch, shot at La Raffinerie - Charleroi Danse (once called Plan K) in Brussels.
The songs used here are "Slow Cirkus" by Claudio Simonetti (Goblin), composed as a soundtrack piece for Dario Argento's 1983 film, Tenebre, and "Tubular World" by Mike Oldfield. I do not own the rights of these songs and use them in a purely amateur way in this film, made during and as a part of my Fine Art course at Central Saint Martins.
