I thought this was going to be my Schecter Nick Johnston PT (Tele) and perhaps even my Nick Johnston Traditional (Strat), but I messed around with the Tele for hours and just couldn’t get a sound I was happy with. I switched to my Epiphone ES-335 Traditional Pro and had no better luck.

I finally switched to my EVH Wolfgang Special and the ENGL Powerball amp model in the HX-Stomp and started getting happier. I’m playing the entire song on the neck pickup. For the solos over the verse section, I wanted a crunch sound so I’m using a volume pedal to dial it back. Obviously, I’m cranking it into saturation territory for the chorus melody and the outro.
 
I was really settled on naming this B.I.L.T. or B.I.L.T.S. for “because I like this stuff/sh**, but swapped over to the Bluefly when I went to create the graphic.

This was an easy, fun diversion from the more involved stuff I have in progress. Stay tuned for a short, orchestral version of this.
