High blood pressure (hypertension) is a condition in which the force of the blood against your artery walls is extremely high. It can be very dangerous for your health and can damage your heart and many other vital organs in the body. In today’s video, Dr. Heena will tell you how to naturally bring down your BP.
To lower your BP, the main focus should be on maintaining a healthy lifestyle with a balanced diet and correct medication. (AHA) The American Heart Association recommends working out for 150 minutes throughout the week. You must also reduce excess fat from your body and maintain a BMI (Body Mass Index) range of 18–25 kg/m2. The intake of salt should be less than 2300mg per day.
Eat green leafy vegetables, fruits, and nuts; lean meat, legumes, whole grains, low-fat dairy products, fish, etc. The AHA recommends a DASH diet (Dietary Approaches to Stop Hypertension), which limits salt, sugar, and various saturated and trans fats.
