Bio:
Founded in 2008 in Bangkok, Thailand, all(zone) (allzonedesignall.com) is a group of design professionals who seamlessly cross borders of discipline and country. Responding to the ever-changing conditions of urbanization and vernacular design, they create alternative built environments that cultivate a sense of home. The firm consists of Rachaporn Choochuey, Sorawit Klaimark, Isara Junpoldee, Wittida Payormyong, Ruchanan Pattarapanich, Asrin Sanguanwongwan, Aroonrod Supreeyaporn, and Tanya Thapanand.

Statement:
Bangkok is the ultimate mixed-use city----a gigantic living organism created by collective contributions of different social groups. It is always changing, adapting, full of surprises, and, certainly, full of problems. Fragments of activity are superimposed, collided, and contaminated, creating a "collage city." Space is never perceived as having a fixed definition of its utilities, but instead as a platform for citizens to occupy with their own activities. In Self Collage City/Ready to MIX (2013), all(zone) proposes that architects should not design a building with a fixed typology, but rather consider the boundaries of possible interaction through the creation of physical environments. The rigidity remains at the level of basic structures, giving a space form, while the interactions of people collectively gives shape and life to place. Everybody is a designer----it is not a utopia, it is already here.
