...I continue to explore nostalgia from the time of BBC Radio's "Children's Favourites", or similar labels, from the 1950's onwards. Here, who couldn't be touched by Anne Stephens' voice: its at once endearing as a nine year-old child, and reminiscent of a "posh", yet rather delicate, English accent long gone - except perhaps in the case of the Queen and the wonderful Brian Sewell. Personally, I think it's a loss.
I took some of these pics in Siena Cathedral, Tuscany. The rest I got from the Internet.
