Since last year, when we integrated the practice management system to EMA, looking at patient charts through the appointment process has been fairly easier. Now, when I log in to EMA, I can just look at my schedule, see who's having surgery tomorrow, click on that patient and it will provide me direct link to the chart. So having an integrated system definitely saves a lot more steps in between to sort of expedite that process. The key thing about being a physician is seeing patients rather than charting. If you spend more than a third of your time charting, I think that's lost time seeing patients and actually providing good patient care.
