Post hurricane shelling usually provides tons of shells and great shelling. I went shelling after Hurricane Sally and I wanted to see what Hurricane Zeta would provide. Hurricane Zeta didn't come all that close to Southwest Florida, but it churned up the gulf nonetheless and the shelling was pretty good!
Last time we went shelling over at Fort Myers after a storm blew through and this time I wanted to see what Sanibel would provide. The gulf waters were too rough to look for shells in, however tons of shells were pushed up on the beach and there were tons of goodies to pick through.
This walk has changed so much due to all the storms that have come through. The part of the woods I used to walk through has become a real mess and is now almost impassable. I'm wondering if future storms will fix the mess or make it worse. I guess time will tell.
