Описание: Cleveland National Forest- Elsinore Mountains (part of Santa Ana Mountains)- Riverside County, Southern California. Back in February 2022, I recorded several clips of a 5 mile out-and-back hike on the Morgan Trail and released each clip then as a separate video for a video set, before I had editing software to make all the clips one video, something I did until October 2022 when I started putting all my clips in one video instead of a multiple set of videos for one hike! As for the hike, I attempted to use the Morgan Trailhead to access the San Mateo Peak Trail to climb San Mateo Peak (3,591') nearby, and missed the turnoff from the Morgan Trail to access the San Mateo Peak Trail (and peak!)! I first crossed Main Divide Rd. to hit a small peak (Peak 2972) with some good views down to Lake Elsinore to the southeast, and San Mateo Peak and San Mateo Wilderness to the west! I then crossed back over to the Morgan Trail, missed the San Mateo Peak Turnoff and hiked about 2.5 miles down the Morgan Trail through gorgeous oak woodlands in Morrell Canyon, and out into some tall chaparral. The San Mateo Wilderness is a true gem in Southern California! Though I missed the peak by far, it turned out to be a fine out-and-back with 500' elevation loss and gain!
