এই সূরা সম্পর্কে:
এই মাদীনী সূরাটি, যার নামকরণ করা হয়েছে ৬৭-৭৩ আয়াতে গরুর গল্প থেকে, পূর্ববর্তী সূরার মূল ধারণাগুলি বিস্তারিতভাবে বর্ণনা করে, বিশ্বাসী, কাফের এবং মুনাফিকদের গুণাবলীর উপর জোর দেয়; সৃষ্টি ও পুনরুত্থানের ক্ষেত্রে আল্লাহর ক্ষমতা; আদম (আঃ) এবং তার বংশধরদের প্রতি শয়তানের শত্রুতা; সেইসাথে মূসা (আঃ) এবং ইসরাঈলের সন্তানদের সাথে আল্লাহর চুক্তি। বৈবাহিক সম্পর্ক, অসিয়ত, জিহাদ, রোজা, হজ্জ, দান, ঋণ এবং সুদ সম্পর্কে বেশ কয়েকটি বিধান দেওয়া হয়েছে। পরবর্তী সূরার বিপরীতে, যা যীশু সম্পর্কে খ্রিস্টান ধারণার উপর দৃষ্টি নিবদ্ধ করে, এই সূরাটি ইহুদি মনোভাব এবং অনুশীলনের একটি উল্লেখযোগ্য অংশকে উৎসর্গ করে।



About this Surah:
This Medinian sûrah, which takes its name from the story of the cow in verses 67-73, details the main concepts of the previous sûrah, with emphasis on the qualities of the believers, disbelievers, and hypocrites; Allāh's power to create and resurrect; the enmity of Satan towards Adam (Peace be upon him) and his descendants; as well as Allah's covenant with Moses (Peace be upon him) and the Children of Israel. Several rulings are given in regards to marital relationships, bequest, jihad, fasting, pilgrimage, donations, debts, and interest. Unlike the next sûrah, which focuses on the Christian perception of Jesus, this sûrah dedicates a sizable portion to Jewish attitudes and practices.
