The Hotel Mojave was inspired by a real structure in Calico, California - with a ground floor made of adobe bricks and an upper level of weathered wood siding. It's a perfect fit for a difficult corner of the layout and helps to blend the scenery with the backdrop. I had a lot of fun building this run down relic of the Old West with it's many interesting textures and desert weathering, and I hope you enjoy following along with the build. I cover a lot of ground in this one - from modeling the adobe walls to creating an interior set and lighting the structure with LEDs.
