South Central Railway has reached the final stage of the Pune division process. It is learnt that the central government has announced the appointment for the new railway zone soon. The railway department is planning to start the new railway zone operations from April 1. According to sources in the South Central Railway, if this comes into effect, the South Central Railway zone, which is centered at Secunderabad, will be limited to Secunderabad, Hyderabad, Nanded, while the rest of the six divisions, including Vijayawada, Guntur, Guntakal and some parts of the East Coast Zone, will be formed along with the newly formed Visakhapatnam Division.
