A little demo of some of the features I managed to get into my personal reasearch project into robitics-grade real-time physics engines (Bullet here) and hooking them up to visualization engines (Autodesk VRED here)
The core multibody physics are handled by Bullet, of course, but I built:
procedural construction of the model, no URDF
real-time audio synthesis from samples based on physics state
realistic torque curve and throttling behaviour of the motor
accurate adjustable dampers from measured data
a simple self-driving algorithm that controls the steering, brakes, throttle
asynchronous architecture of 240Hz physics and 60fps graphics
large open-world almost working in VRED... still in progress!
