Vernon Hills, IL Whelen WPS 4004 Siren Test, Full Alert & Voice

For the first Tuesday of this month, I headed to this new 4004 in Vernon Hills before class which replaced the 2806 I recorded back in August of 2022. Figured about time it got a recording! During this test, some interesting things happened. For whatever reason they decided to do alert, which I remember them doing that once back when I was in high school and I heard VH's sirens doing alert and I found that weird. I guess this is what happened today. Another weird thing is, I got no tones as apparently, their frequency has changed, and a friend found a new frequency licensed to VH PD which could be the right one as everything else is digital, and the antennas these sirens have aren't compatible with anything digital. But yeah it was a fun test anyway! Cordell and Noah were gonna go as well, but changed their minds last minute. Oh yeah, I got some new equipment! Hope you enjoy!
