#74 - Trying Spray Paint in this Black and Red Puddle Pour, Swipe and Marble Roll

A Puddle Pour involves pouring paint onto the canvas in small circular puddles.

The Swipe technique involves using a tool (a spatula, paper towel, palette knife, etc.) to GENTLY drag or swipe paint or cell activator across the canvas. The purpose is to create interesting patterns and textures often resulting in cells and lacing effects.

Today I am doing a Puddle Pour, Swipe and Marble Roll combination using Rust-oleum Spray Paint, Liquitex and Artist's Loft paints on a 12"x12" canvas by Artist's Loft. This is the first time I am using Spray Paint in my pour; it is definitely a learning experience for me. Please watch until the end of the video as the dry result is there.

The colors I am using today are Mars Black by Liquitex, Bright Red by Artist's Loft mixed with True Red by DecoArt Americana Pearls and Gold Spray Paint by Rust-oleum. My cell activator is Titanium White by Amsterdam. My paints are of the same consistency (except for my cell activator and the spray paint) as consistency is IMPORTANT!

My pouring medium today is Flood Floetrol (U.S.) and Artist's Loft Gloss Pouring Medium. My ratio is 2:1 (2 parts pouring medium to 1 part paint). My cell activators are paint mixed with Flood Floetrol (U.S.) and Flood Penetrol (I purchased these from Home Depot).
