Описание: Rare Sixties Girl Group Sound / Doo-Wop Sonya Jarrett TRYING / If The Shoe Fits ( JULENE Records 1002-A ) Composed / Produced by A. Furth and T. Lafferty. This seems to be the rarest of the rare of records. I can't find any info on it whatsoever, I didn't even know what the B was called or what year it was released. I'm guessing it might be around 61 to 62. Thanks a lot to David Rocker for telling me the title of the flip. There were at least one or two more releases on this label. I think it may be an obscure one from the West coast, as the names Lafferty and Furth are found on the Corsair Records of California. If anyone has any more details about it please let me know. A nice little ballad with a sweet, unusual voice. It reminds me of a few Doo-Wop tunes and maybe a Girl Group one. Sixteen Candles could be one of them, but I can't think of the main one I had in mind, it's possibly a Chantels song. "What If Christopher Columbus Had Only Gone Halfwaaay" lol. I'm dedicating this to the Beautiful Sixties Girl Group Legend Ronnie Spector. Who we sadly, suddenly lost last month.
