After a failed uprising in Zaun's Undercity, Vander, a former revolutionary, takes in orphans Vi and Powder. Years later, Vi leads a heist in Piltover with her brothers Claggor and Mylo. They accidentally trigger an explosion and escape to the Undercity. Vander scolds them, but Vi wants to fight back against Piltover. Vander strikes a deal with Enforcer Grayson to protect the Undercity. Meanwhile, Jayce, a scientist, experiments with magic-infused crystals. He is arrested, but his mother intervenes. Vi contacts Grayson to turn herself in, but Silco ambushes them, killing Grayson. Vander is captured. Jayce and Viktor stabilize the crystals. Powder discovers their power. Vi, Claggor, and Mylo rescue Vander from Silco's factory, but Powder's invention kills Mylo and Claggor. Vander sacrifices himself to save Vi. Vi blames Powder and leaves her behind. Silco approaches Powder."
