As a practicing muslim you must have come across the challenge of shaking hands.
Once I became a muslim and really started to try and follow the Quran and Sunnah I realised that I would have to come up with techniques to approach the situations I would inevitably come across that would test me.
One of those is the prohibition on physical contact with a non-mahram lady (someone with whom it would be potentially permissable to marry).
It was narrated by Mu’qil bin Yasaar who said, The Prophet (Peace and Blessing be Upon Him) said “It is better for one of you to have an iron needle thrust into his head than to touch a woman who is not permissable for him”. Narrated by At-Tabaraani in “Al-Kabeer” and Al-Albani said about the hadeeth that it is “Saheeh” in his book Saheeh Al-Jaami’
Alhamdulillah I have been able to avoid shaking hands and not offending or upsetting anyone so far. I hope that this video will be useful for those who are worried about this or feeling the same anxiety I did initially.
Allah knows bes and is the source of all strength and He (عز و جل) is The One we must obey even under challenging circumstances.t
