Overview of what happened in the video, or the lore summary:

Basil wakes up in headspace to find that everyone has completely disappeared, Mari mentioned (just before her disappearance) that everyone would be at Pyrifly Forest. Basil heads there in hopes of finding someone, he meets Omori in the middle of the forest.

Seemingly out of nowhere he “resets” Basil. In order to reset a person in headspace, you have to kill them. Basil’s memories of the killings however, don’t reset along with him but he carries on like nothing happened. He tried convincing himself that Omori wouldn’t do that (just for him to betray his trust again).

Basil eventually confronts Omori to ask why he would start resetting him constantly. Omori just responded with “What I should have done many resets ago” only leaving more questions. The scars from all the resets stop resetting with Basil’s body.

Basil starts talking to Aubrey about the situation since Aubrey has a close relationship with Omori. She eventually gets tired of being around Basil and starts pushing him into the ocean, lakes at Pyrifly, and even the orange juice in Orange Oasis.

Basil doesn’t trust both Omori and Aubrey. He scribbles them out from the photo album because of what they did to him. Basil, being the kind pushover, still trusts Omori to change. When Omori finally snaps and says “I will break you” Basil finally understands that he was doing this all for his own sick and twisted enjoyment.

Basil, now having no one to turn to, starts using his shears on himself as a way to hold him back from all the pain and suffering Omori inflicted on him. He starts isolating himself away from the world, away from the others.
