Earlier it was assumed that customers choose from the same 1500 products from groceries and FMCG categories on a daily basis and keeping a catalogue of those products was enough
But as these QC platforms started experimenting with new categories, that customer is not only willing to buy these products, she likes it because of the convenience associated with the quick delivery
The sweet spot for AOV in the quick commerce space is Rs. 550 (according to @ThinkSchool )
The category expansion is helping the platforms to surpass this mark which is resulting in profitability at the dark store levels

Blinkit is certainly looking like it will surpass zomato
