Lynnwood Farnam (1885-1930) was a Canadian organist who became the preeminent organist in North America in the 1920s until his death. He was influential in promoting the music of Bach, and also championed French organ music contemporary to his day.
This Toccata is his only known composition for the organ, and it is a popular piece around the season of Easter.
Here it is played by Geoffrey Liu, organist of Kent United Methodist Church, on the 15-rank Wicks organ.
