#Gibraltar Airport was built in 1936 on the land between the spanish and the british territory, there has been a dispute between both going on since then, if or if not it belongs to the Brits. Its a Base of the Royal Airforce with civil usage.
Spain excluded Gibraltar from European-wide de-regulation, thats the reason why it only can serve domestic routes to UK, mostly to London Heathrow, Manchester and Bristol, operated by #easyjet and #britishairways
Due to heavy turbulences and windshears created by the Rock of Gibraltar and as it can only be approached visually with narrow turns (theres a flight restriction area over the whole spanish territory), it's considered one of the most challenging airports in the world.
