We’re raising money for a new restoration of the 1929 musical film "The Desert Song" using an almost complete 35mm nitrate print (missing reels 5 & 7) and supplementing that with the missing two reels from 16mm. All new sound from a complete set of Vitaphone discs and a complete negative track including the Overture disc and the Exit Music disc. To meet help fund this project, we’ve set up this campaign with a goal of $2,036. The film will be made available freely for download on the Internet Archive once the goal is met and the project is complete. It will also be made available on YouTube and other video sharing websites.
