Key New Features

M4 Pro Chip: The core of the update is the new M4 Pro chip, featuring a 14-core CPU and up to a 20-core GPU. It is built on a second-generation 3-nanometer process, which enhances performance and power efficiency. A new 16-core Neural Engine is optimized for the latest Apple Intelligence and on-device AI workloads.

Thunderbolt 5: The M4 Pro models are the first Macs to feature Thunderbolt 5, which offers a massive increase in bandwidth. This allows for faster data transfer speeds and enhanced external display capabilities, including support for up to two 6K displays.

Brighter Display: The Liquid Retina XDR display now has a sustained brightness of up to 1000 nits for Standard Dynamic Range (SDR) content, a significant jump from the previous generation's 600 nits. This makes the screen much more viewable in bright environments.

Space Black Finish: The M4 Pro model is available in the new Space Black color, which is achieved through a new process that makes the finish more resistant to fingerprints.

Upgraded Camera: The new MacBook Pro features an upgraded 12MP FaceTime HD camera with Center Stage support, a feature that uses machine learning to keep you centered in the frame during video calls.

Increased Base RAM: The base model now comes with 16GB of unified memory. While this is the same as the previous M3 base, the M4 Pro has increased memory bandwidth for more demanding tasks
