Auswandern - ein Resümee nach 22 Jahren

Описание: Seit 22 Jahren lebe ich nicht mehr in Deutschland.
Knapp sieben Jahre davon in Kanada – in Vancouver, mitten in atemberaubender Natur. Dort habe ich zwei wunderbare Freunde gewonnen: Elaine und Siya – fühlt euch gedrückt 💛

Kanada war spannend, wild, frei – aber ich bin keine Amerikanerin. Ich bin Europäerin.

Als ich Kanada verlassen wollte, fragte mich Torsten, ob ich nach Norwegen kommen würde.
Es war ein bisschen wie ein Tinder-Match – es hätte auch schiefgehen können 😉
Aber aus diesem „Match“ wurden 16 Jahre Liebe, Verlobung, Ehe – und ein neues Leben zwischen Fjord und Alltag.

In diesem Video ziehe ich mein persönliches Fazit zum Thema Auswandern – ehrlich und ohne Hochglanz.

Was ich gelernt habe:

Du nimmst dich immer selbst mit.

Du brauchst echtes Fernweh und Abenteuerlust.

Du musst kompromissbereit sein.

Du wirst doppelt so viel arbeiten müssen.

Praktische Tipps:

Informiere dich über Jobbörsen im Zielland (z.B. in Norwegen: Finn.no – eine Mischung aus eBay & Jobbörse).

Mach vorher Urlaub dort.

Überlege dir gut, in welcher Region du leben möchtest – Dialekt, Mentalität, Natur, Klima machen einen großen Unterschied.

Auswandern ist kein Urlaub.
Es ist ein Neustart.

I haven’t lived in Germany for 22 years.
Almost seven of those years were spent in Canada, in Vancouver, surrounded by incredible nature. That’s also where I met two wonderful friends – Elaine and Siya 💛

Canada was exciting and beautiful – but I realized: I’m European.

When I decided to leave Canada, Torsten asked me if I would move to Norway.
It felt a bit like a Tinder match – it could have gone completely wrong 😉
But instead, it turned into 16 years of love, engagement, marriage – and a new life between fjords and everyday reality.

In this video I share my honest reflections about emigrating.

What I’ve learned:

You always take yourself with you.

You need real wanderlust and a sense of adventure.

You must be willing to compromise.

You will probably work twice as hard.

Practical advice:

Research local job platforms (in Norway: Finn.no – similar to eBay combined with a job portal).

Visit the country before moving.

Think carefully about the region, dialect, mentality, nature and climate.

Emigrating is not a vacation.
It’s a reset.
