Vụ mùa vải thiều năm 2025 đang bước vào giai đoạn cao điểm với sản lượng dự kiến vượt ngưỡng 303.000 tấn. Các vùng trồng chủ lực từ Bắc Giang đến Tây Nguyên đều đã sẵn sàng cho quá trình thu hoạch, chế biến và xuất khẩu.

Theo báo cáo của Cục Trồng trọt và Bảo vệ thực vật (Bộ Nông nghiệp và Môi trường), sản lượng vải thiều năm nay ước tính tăng khoảng 30% so với năm trước. Bắc Giang dẫn đầu với khoảng 165.000 tấn, tiếp theo là Hải Dương với 60.000 tấn, Hưng Yên và Lạng Sơn đều đạt 22.000 tấn, trong khi Đắk Lắk đóng góp 21.000 tấn. Ngoài ra, một số tỉnh khác như Quảng Ninh, Sơn La và khu vực Tây Nguyên cũng góp phần đáng kể vào tổng sản lượng cả nước.

Khẳng định vị thế nông sản chủ lực

Để đảm bảo vụ mùa thành công, Cục Trồng trọt và Bảo vệ thực vật đã triển khai nhiều biện pháp kỹ thuật, hướng dẫn chăm sóc, phòng trừ sâu bệnh, đặc biệt là sâu đục cuống quả – một trong những mối đe dọa lớn đến năng suất. Công tác giám sát an toàn thực phẩm cũng được chú trọng, bao gồm kiểm tra dư lượng thuốc bảo vệ thực vật và kim loại nặng.

Hiện tại, 469 mã số vùng trồng với hơn 19.300 ha đã được cấp phép cùng 55 mã số cơ sở đóng gói, sẵn sàng phục vụ xuất khẩu sang các thị trường trọng điểm như Trung Quốc, Úc, Thái Lan, Nhật Bản và Hoa Kỳ. Đặc biệt, từ năm 2025, Nhật Bản đã trao quyền giám sát quá trình xử lý cho Việt Nam, thay vì cử chuyên gia sang kiểm tra trực tiếp, giúp giảm chi phí và thời gian cho doanh nghiệp.

According to a report by the Department of Crop Production and Plant Protection (Ministry of Agriculture and Environment), this year's lychee output is estimated to increase by about 30% compared to last year. Bac Giang leads with about 165,000 tons, followed by Hai Duong with 60,000 tons, Hung Yen and Lang Son both reaching 22,000 tons, while Dak Lak contributes 21,000 tons. In addition, a number of other provinces such as Quang Ninh, Son La and the Central Highlands region also contribute significantly to the total output of the country.

Affirming the position of key agricultural products

To ensure a successful crop, the Department of Crop Production and Plant Protection has implemented many technical measures, guidance on care, and pest control, especially fruit stem borers - one of the major threats to productivity. Food safety monitoring is also focused on, including testing for pesticide residues and heavy metals.

Currently, 469 growing area codes with more than 19,300 hectares have been licensed along with 55 packing facility codes, ready to serve exports to key markets such as China, Australia, Thailand, Japan and the United States. Notably, since 2025, Japan has given Vietnam the right to supervise the processing process, instead of sending experts to inspect directly, helping to reduce costs and time for businesses.

Although the majority of lychee output (97%) is consumed fresh, the remaining 3% is processed into juice, frozen or canned lychees. Drying and processing facilities have completed preparations, ready for the harvest season. Plant quarantine has also been strengthened, with support from export-standard irradiation and fumigation facilities.

Lychee season, boosting exports

In Bac Giang, the lychee growing area remains stable at 29,700 hectares, including 8,000 hectares of early lychees and 21,700 hectares of main-season lychees. The total output is estimated at 165,000 tons, bringing in a production value of about VND5,000 billion. The early lychee harvest period takes place from May 20 to June 15, while the main-season lychees start from June 10 and last until July 20.

Although the weather this year is not favorable with prolonged heat, the flowering rate is still over 90%, the fruit set rate is over 80%. Currently, Bac Giang has 16,000 hectares meeting VietGAP standards, 204 hectares meeting GlobalGAP standards and 10 hectares of organic production, meeting market demand.

The province is proactively connecting with large distribution systems such as Central Retail, MM Mega Market, Saigon Co.op, WinCommerce, and wholesale markets in Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, Da Nang, etc. In addition to the domestic market, Bac Giang is promoting exports to the United States, EU, Japan, Korea, Australia, UAE and Canada.
